Has he in anger withheld his compassion?” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Then I thought, “To this I will appeal:<br />
the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">I will remember the deeds of the LORD;<br />
yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

your lightning lit up the world;<br />

your way through the mighty waters,<br />

<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Once more he visited Cana in <st1:place w:st="on">Galilee</st1:place>, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Capernaum</st1:place></st1:city>. <sup><span> </span></sup>When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from <st1:place w:st="on">Judea</st1:place>, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">“Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">“Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">The man took Jesus at his word and departed.<span>  </span>While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Meditate upon this, the second of Jesus’ miracles in the Gospel of John.<span>  </span>Reflect upon how this miracle reveals his glory.<o:p></o:p></span></em></p>

<p>He has helped his servant <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Israel</st1:country-region></st1:place>,<br />
remembering to be merciful</p>
<p>to Abraham and his descendants forever,<br />
just as he promised our ancestors.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'">Lord heal us.<span>  </span>Lord heal the ones we love.<span>  </span>Though our faith is weak, we cry out to you to bring healing to those we remember now.<span>  </span><em>Speak the names of those in need of healing.</em><o:p></o:p></span></p>
